Q & A - Non Stop Cabaret

The word on the street is that Non Stop Cabaret's The Maidsis one of the best things on at this year's Fringe. Just two more performance to come - 16th (late) and 17th (mid-afternoon). Both in the Pauper's Pit so get your tickets quickly. Once they're gone, they're gone.

2] You haven’t played Buxton before why have you decided to come for 2008?
It’s a lot smaller than Edinburgh so there’s a good chance our show will actually be seen!

3] Amongst Buxton’s famous sons and (adopted daughter) are Tim Brooke-Taylor, Dave Lee Travis and Vera Brittain. How do you feel about following in the footsteps of such giants?
We can but try…..

4] What reaction do you expect from your audiences?
I hope the audiences are surprised, engaged, excited and to go away thinking that they’ve just had an experience, not just watched a performance.

5] 5 pieces of fruit and veg a day – what do you choose to eat?
Crisps.

6] Do you have any superstitions or routines that you follow before starting a performance?
The Maids is a tough show, physically and mentally. It takes a lot of focus and concentration to pull it off. We haven’t really got any superstitions or routes as such, just being generally well prepared.

7] Buxton Mineral Water – how do you drink it?
Using my mouth.

8] Are there any other performers/artists that you especially admire? If so, who and why?
Loads of contemporary theatre and performance – Forced Entertainment, Stan’s Café, La Pocha Nostra to name but a few…..

9] What question would you have liked to answer here?
What comes after 9?

10] What is your answer to 9]?
10.
